Other Opportunities

Athletics
More than 65% of the student body is involved in a sport or two (some 3) .There are three high school sports seasons. Pay attention to the announcements for starting dates. If you have specific questions, see Mr. Miller.

Ambassadors
These guys are truly that...ambassadors of good will and Titan pride. Members are chosen after recommendation of teachers and an interview process. We work with admissions, advancement and alumni and participate in service and volunteer projects, including 8th grade visits, Dinner Auction, Freshman Orientation and Reunion Weekend.

Campus Ministry
We help plan school Masses, retreats, prayer services and other spiritual activities. This is one of the busiest departments at St. John's.

Christian Service
Members are chosen by recommendation and interview. We plan Hunger Awareness Week and all mission collections. Service opportunities in the community and in Guatemala and the Dominican Republic are available.

Intramural Sports
If you enjoy playing sports for fun, here's your chance. Each intramural season runs approximately six weeks. Football is played in the Fall, basketball in the Winter and soccer in the Spring.

National Honor Society
Election is based on superior grades, service to school and community and recommendations from within and outside the SJJ community. Juniors and seniors are eligible.

Peer Meditators
Mediators are trained to work with students involved in situations that involve conflict. This is a great way to learn how to think and act in stressful situations.

Spirit Squad

Student Council
We hold meetings on Wednesday afternoons after school. To be elected to Student Council, you need to run for class representative or be elected to the Executive Council. We sponsor elections, dances and many other social and service opportunities.
