Dear Titans and Titan Parents,

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year.  Our hope is that students and their families are enjoying a fun and safe summer and are ready to begin a new year at St. John’s Jesuit.

TRANSPORTATION Families who do not have the option to use public bus transportation through their school district may have the option for transportation provided by the SJJ yellow bus.  More complete details may be found under the Admissions tab of the school website.  The online request form is available at the link that follows:  SJJ Yellow Bus Form .

The fees will be $2.00 each way.  Questions and more information can be obtained by email to Lesia McHugh at  or by phone 419-865-5743 Ext 3406.

SCHOOL FORMS – Your PowerSchool portal can be found under the For Students or For parents tabs of the school website.  SJJ uses the Bio Update in PowerSchool for contact information and for acceptance of but not limited to the following forms:  Student Handbook, Consent Agreements, Immunizations Records, and Emergency Medical information.  Additional Health (Diabetic, Allergy, Seizure, and Asthma) Care Plan forms are available on the website under the For Parents tab.   Most forms were submitted when you registered your son for the new school year.  If any mandatory forms have not been completed, you will receive an email in the next couple days.  Without completion of the Bio Update your son will not be able to go through registration successfully on August 14.  If you have any questions regarding the Bio Update please contact Julie Fuzinski at

SJJ uses Final Forms as a convenient tracking method for athletic medical forms.  For all students wishing to participate in an athletic program, click here for Final Forms.  Instructions for Final forms is attached.

DRESS CODE -  The complete Dress Code is published on the For Parents tab of the school website as well as in the Student Handbook.  Parents and students are advised to read the Dress Code in its entirety prior to purchasing school clothing.  There have been no major changes from previous years; however, some commonly overlooked items are; shoes must be black or brown (including the sole and sides), shirts must be able to button to the top button and remain tucked in while seated, hair cannot have shaved lines or patterns.

The Ohio tax holiday for this year runs August 3 – August 5 and is valid for up to $20 in school supplies and $75 in clothing.

PICTURES will be taken by LifeTouch on Registration Day.  All students must be in dress code.  Students may purchase the packet of pictures at the time of the photo session. Students must also have payment at the time pictures are taken.  Lifetouch will not accept payment the next day.   Picture envelopes were mailed to your home, if you did not receive one, please call the Main Office at 419-865-5743.     You also have the option of ordering your picture package online by visiting: and entering Picture Day ID:  WP118030Y0.   If you are absent on August 14, or just don’t like your photo, there will be a retake day on Monday, September 25th.  And because Lifetouch is now a part of Shutterfly, every parent who orders online will receive a free 8x8 hardcover Shutterfly book, which is a $29.99 value!

iPADSPrior to August 9th all new students are required to stop into SJJ (see dates below) with their iPad for school setup.  The student’s iTunes account must be set up on the iPad ahead of coming to school. Also, access to the App Store for school downloads must be available.  iPad setup prepares the student to access PowerSchool and their email on Registration Day to see course schedule, locker information and more.

SCHEDULES have been worked on diligently.  We have tried to accommodate classes that were requested in the spring.  If changes were made, your alternate choice was used as a replacement whenever possible.  Schedules will be available for viewing in PowerSchool beginning August 6th.  Once you have access to your schedule, make sure that you have a balanced schedule -- for examples six classes per semester; not five class during Semester 1 and seven classes during Semester 2.   Counselors will be available beginning August 8th to help students with scheduling needs.

Enjoy the rest of your summer. We look forward to seeing you soon!
