St. John’s Jesuit begins Sixth Year of Labre Program

This past Monday, Oct. 2, marked the beginning of the sixth year of Labre at SJJ.  Every Monday, SJJ and St. Ursula Academy students take food to the underserved in our community.

There are three stops for food distribution, including  two in the old South end and one in the East side.  The program serves about 100 people a week and also provides the opportunity for students, faculty and staff to connect with people about their lives.

SJJ and our students provide  the food and  the SJJ  Mothers Club bakes casseroles every week to support the program.

The only times Labre has not made Monday night visits were due to Lucas County declaring Level Three Snow Emergencies.
