
Marcia Chambers is available to assist students with any aspect of English literature, grammar, and written assignments including literary papers. Students are welcome to work with her to organize their papers, form a thesis, edit and proofread their work, and review for tests. She is available Monday through Thursday.
Sarah Aschemeier is available full time to assist students in all levels of math. Students are welcome to work with her to learn or review concepts from their classes, and to prepare for and review for tests and quizzes. Mrs. Aschemeier is available from 7:45 am until 4:45 pm daily.
Teachers may refer students to Homework Club if they are having difficulty completing and handing in homework on time. Bob Borman (ext. 394) will contact students if their attendance at Homework Club has been requested.
SJJ offers comprehensive academic counseling to all students through the guidance department. Detailed information about the SJJ guidance department and services provided is available on the Guidance Web pages. The director of guidance is Lin Sibley, 296 or at lsibley@sjjtitans.org.

Students struggling to achieve their academic potential may be referred by their counselor for an academic assessment. The SJJ Learning Specialist completes these assessments. Results are shared with the counselor, student, and parents. Contact Mrs. Nixon for additional information.
