Do you enjoy Math?
Do you like to be challenged?
Are you looking for a fun after school team/group with your classmates?
Do you want or need some “extra” Math help or enrichment?

MATHCOUNTS is a program designed to increase enthusiasm in middle school mathematics throughout the United States and at the same time enhance student achievement.

Seventh and eighth grade Academy students who are interested are invited to stay after school on Mondays, starting October 9th. This is tentative and may change due to upcoming events and activities.

After a selection process in January, the top twelve students will represent The Academy to compete at the local competition at Nitschke Auditorium on the UT College of Engineering Campus sometime in February.

All students are invited and encouraged to participate in these casual after school seminars, but only those making the weekly (and bi-weekly in January) commitments will be suggested for the team. Meetings will be held from 3:10 – 4:10 in Mr. Szynkowski’s room, unless numbers push us to a larger room. Please complete the bottom of this sheet and return it to Mr. Szynkowski.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Szynkowski at:
