Titans Work for a State Championship
The St. John’s Jesuit 2007 Titan varsity team will be lead by
two strong seniors, All-Ohio Joe Miller and varsity letter winner Brett
Wagner along with two juniors, All-City Chris Madaras and transfer student
Kevin Yarnell. These four runners are packed with talent and experience.
Miller was a Division I individual runner up in the 2006, and Madaras
and Wagner helped the 2006 team become State Runner Up in Division I
at the state meet. Yarnell is coming off an excellent 2007 track season
for Anthony Wayne finishing seventh in the mile at the regional track
meet.
Returning varsity letter winners, Max Layman ‘09 and Ben
Miller ‘10 look to help the Titan’s varsity team, along
with Preston Benjamin ‘10 and incoming freshman Greg Turissini.
Several other runners could also help the Titans accomplish the
goals seniors Blake Wysocki, and Zach Boerger, along with juniors,
Greg Obee and Jerrold Clark.
The Titans look to continue the City League winning streak with
their fourth straight City Championship and fourth straight top
ten finish at the state meet.
