Iott Resource CenterPolicies*Sign in at the Circulation desk when using the IRC. The IRC is designated as an individual quiet study area. Underclassmen must have a pass signed by their class and study hall teacher in order to use the IRC during free periods or study hall. Students without proper student ID will not be able to checkout materials. (a lost student ID may be obtained from the textbook office for a fee) The Center staff will not issue students a late pass. It is the responsibility of the student to be in class on time. Students should anticipate and allow for computer and /or printer problems. Students may not remain in the IRC during homeroom period, activity periods, or religious services. Students using the IRC must be in dress code during scheduled school hours. The IRC staff will enforce the dress code and violations will be referred to the associate principal for disciplinary measures. The IRC does not have areas designated for group work or group study. Peer tutoring may be done in the Commons area or in the Tutoring room. Students are not permitted in the IRC without staff supervision. Entering and exiting must occur through the main door only. The emergency exit door is for emergency use only. Students exiting through the emergency door will be referred to the associate principal. Food and beverages are prohibited in the IRC. Material loans:Students are responsible for all materials loaned to them. They will
be expected to pay for any damages, replacement costs or late fee obligations.
Late and Fine notices are posted in the IRC. Fines: IRC COMPUTERSStudents using SJJ computers must have an annually signed Acceptable Use Policy on file. Violations of this policy will result in loss of computer network privileges. Internet access is limited to research projects and classroom assignments. Games, music, and correspondence of any kind are strictly prohibited. Any exceptions must have approval by the IRC staff and the student’s instructor prior to computer use. Students can save information to their User drive or a USB Flashdrive. *NO ELECTRONIC CORRESPONDENCE OF ANY KIND IS PERMITTED.
