Officer Application for 2008-09
The St. John’s Jesuit Department of Music develops
Christian leaders that are competent and confident musicians. Each
student achieves his or her greatest potential of artistic
expression and aesthetic judgment through the study and performance
of music of many genres in an inclusive, supportive environment.
Our students model teamwork, a self-commitment to excellence,
unselfish giving, and a passion for music’s important role
in the enrichment of the human spirit. |

Our performing ensembles include the Marching Titans, the Symphonic
Band, the Jazz Machine, the Men’s Chorus, the SJJ Vocal Ensemble,
the Basketball Pep Band, and the Community Middle School Band. To learn
more about these ensembles,

Equally
as important, our academic courses in music include Music Technology, Music
Appreciation, and AP Music Theory.
AP Music Theory and Music Technology
are taught in the Fox
Music Technology Lab, a state-of-the-art facility that rivals major
university music technology
labs.
Through all of these courses, we strive to prepare students for music
as a hobby or as a career. If you have any questions about our Instrumental
Music program, please email Mr. Smith at xsmith@sjjtitans.org or
call him at 419-865-5743 ext. 262. If you have any questions concerning
our Choral Music program or Music Technology program, please email Mr.
Rosen at lrosen@sjjtitans.org or
call him at 419-865-5743 ext. 337.
